You can put one wherever you want to cut a hole. Not hard to wire up.

Would i be able to tap into the one i have and rig up another one and have it hidden underneith my concel?

Will the power be the same to both sockets or will it be less?

Voltage will be the same if you tap the same positive and negative terminals. Current draw will be more if you're using both, which will equal the sum of the items powered (your electric hookah uses 10 amps and your electric vibrator uses 10 amps, will result in 20 amps of draw). If your fuse is 20 amps, it may blow.

If you hook them up in a series (positive to cigarette lighter, negative to second lighter's positive terminal, negative of second cigarette lighter to common terminal), you'll get some fun results.

Well don't blame him that you don't seem to know much about electrical systems or terminology--he didn't use an overly complicated description.

I'll take a look at my Bentley tomorrow at the cigarette lighter system and see if it can support the additional load of a second cigarette lighter. Does your car have a cigarette lighter in the back seat? I can't remember if mine does or not.

Just tap the positive and negative from the cigarette lighter. Just make sure what you are using does not exceed the rating of the fuse, otherwise you'll have to replace the fuse.

The fuses are there to prevent you from messing up your car. Just have a class ABC fire extinguisher handy just in case.

Im pretty sure it can. Most the people who run a 7in LCD run it off the cid lighter.

Step 1: Go to Radio Shack, pick up something that looks like this:
http://www.motorcyclepowersockets.co.uk/images/socket.jpg
Step Two: Get yourself a test light.
http://www.autoelectric.ru/autoalarm/audiovox/tsp-550/tsp-550-8.gif

Step 3: Find a wire that is makes your little light glow. If you want your 12v socket to work even when the car's off, tap the appropriate wire (12v constant) or if you want it to turn the 12v socket off when you turn off your car, tap one that's only "lit" when your ignition is on (12v switched).

Step 4: Figure out where to mount the socket (cut a hole or zip tie it out of sight.

Step 5: If this is too complicated, go buy one of these:

But then again, you didn't tell us what you wanted to use it for...

If you intended on running some high draw stuff, you could be asking for problems...

But if you just want to power your Ipod while charging your cell, you'll be fine.
