i havent opened anything....but grandpops came through with a zhp shift knob last night. there's nothing like opening a gift and a bmw part number being the first thing you see.

i'm just hoping the shift knob isn't tooo short.


I just woke up and need to wrap presents, but I think I see door panels and a stromung under the tree!

I'm having a happy one. Last weekend, I took my wife out to AZ to see her brother that she hadn't seen in 8 years. When we got back I "forgot about" the commission check I'd got for selling 3 cars in one day the weekend before, and spent it on giving her some really nice diamond earrings.

I got a shop vac. :D

I am truly happy to give to the woman I love, who takes such good care of me & my sons. And that's what this holiday is all about.

I got that same ZHP shift knob from my folks for christmas - not much of a shocker since I had sent them the part # and a link to buy it, but I'm still stoked to install it later on. Also got some schweet bav auto winter mats so i can stop defiling my interior and a pair of Puma Inflection BMW-Sauber F1 Team driving shoes from the woman (though she also got me tickets to the sold out Foo Fighters show in feb because I mentioned to her a few months ago that I'd never seen them and they were on my short list of bands to see).

That was pretty much it for gifts, so not a ton of stuff but I'm happy with what I got. This year I gave a lot more than I received but it was a good feeling knowing that everyone really liked their gifts - tivo for the folks, a bottle of macallan 12 with glasses for my younger brother, digi cam and photo printer for the gf. Unfortunately my gf's parents also bought her a digital camera so now we've got to figure out whose is being returned, oi.

The only BMW parts I'm getting are the ones I'm buying for me... to fix my no heat problem. It got worse when I went out to my car to go to my parents house yesterday and it was overheating... I'm getting a blower motor, heater valves, and an aux water pump at the very least from "Santa", with a new fan clutch probably on the way. :rolleyes
