Why does my temp gauge flash and beep at 37 degrees?? Anyone with that problem and what is that??? I have a 2006 3.0i and this is worrying me a bit. Nothing happens to the engine or anything else. The beeping stops after 4 cycles and re-starts.....Help

To let you know that there might be ice on the roadways and to be careful.

Thank you. After I posted this, I went and read the manual. You are correct. Guess I should have consulted with my manual before I posted......I am backwards today.....MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

Very true, but there's a lot of information that's not in the manual. That's what makes these forums so valuable. Thanks again to those of you who contribute.

Working at a dealer, I can tell you that not nearly enough people read the manual, especially in higher end cars.... most owners expect everything to be done for them and explained to them. How about the "what is the horseshoe with the exclamation mark? there's even a button with the same symbol"

There's a guy here at work that is like that. Just yesterday, I was making fun of him for not knowing how to work the climate control in his 325Xi. He was complaining that every time he hits "the button" that the window defrost turns on full blast and he doesn't know how to turn it down. I pointed out to him that he was hitting the button for maximum window defrost. The thing I don't get is that he knows how to turn down the fan speed, too, but I guess he never put 1 + 1 together. This is after having explained how to change and reset the readouts for his OBC and why the 37 F blinks and beeps at him, among other things. He doesn't know how to drive stick very well either....I'm waiting for his synchros to go.

Flat Tire System... yellow means disabled, red means warning low pressure condition.
