Yesterday we took Volvo V70 and V50 and Audi A3 and A4 AWD wagons for a ride at Inskip. The sales guys for both brands were good, and were willing to deal. The V70 is too big, the V50 was realling booooring. Marcy said "It drives just like her Buick". The A3 with the 3.2 and DSC was really cool. Much nicer than SMGs. Really felt just like an automatic. The problem is that you can't get AWD in the A3 with the 2.0T. The cost of the 3.2 in the A3 is so much that a 2.0T A4 is the same cost. Really dumb on Audi's part.

We decided to try the 328XI again and since we were in the area stopped at Inskip. This time we talked to Jack McDevitt, who couldn't have been nicer. We didn't have to dress up or anything.

With 4 years of maintenance the 328XI ends up being the same TCO as the Audi and not much more than the Volvo. Without much coersion on my part we just signed a contract for a 328XI Touring. Inskip beat the price from the guys in Norwood, mostly with the difference in documentation fees.

Now we wait to see if they can find one or they order one.

PS, I invited Jack McDevitt to come to the Colt State Park meets as long as he brings toys for us to play with.

I wish there were more stories like that! It is great to hear that you didn't have to battle for anything or faced plane rudeness like I did at BMW Peabody. Not that it was anything new to me.

Be sure to post pictures when you finally get your baby!

That's weird, I have nothing but bad experiences with Inskip BMW.

Inskip is awesome, everytime I go to have the bimmer serviced, they take her next door to use Bentley's car wash to make sure her wheels don't get scratched up...I have nothing but great things to say about them as well, definitely a good experience

I've had good experiences with parts/service at Inskip. Congrats on the soon-to-be-acquired new car!

More than you know! My first BMW was a '73 2002 painted Agave and with MA plates, just like the one on the cover. I dated Marcy with that car. After we got married she drove it for a couple of months while her new car was on order. She wasn't at all happy about driving a car with a manual transmission.
