As stated on the title... hope you can help me guys!

I have a very large picture frame that holds 65 pictures in 7 different sizes and I would like to have them ready for tomorrow's family reunion. Most of the pictures that I will be using are at a size of 2048X1536 pixels; however, I have to make them fit to 4.75X7 inches and to other 6 sizes. I started doing this by cropping and resizing but it is taking me too long the way I am doing it since there is no way to know what size I have after I crop, save and look at the pictures properties… there’s got to be a better way!!

Although I know well my way around on computers, I create news letters and I work with pictures, I never use Photoshop and I never had to do this task. Instead of re-inventing the wheel and spend the rest of the day, I decided to come here to ask you guys for some guidance.

I have Photoshop V7.0 and some other common applications.

Can some one help me save this project before a give-up?

Thank you in advance guys!

Go to Image--Image Size and you can type in the size you want in inches. Of course you'll probably have to crop some parts off because if you change the size and it is not in proportion to the original size, it will look stretched out.

Thank you; however, that is what I was doing and having to check back on properties and then back and cropping... etc, etc. It was taking too long.

I was hoping for a specific application or a function on Photoshop that dysplay the assingned size or... anything that will help you assign sizes like... on pocket pc... in order to assign a picture for the Today screen, it will show a 'clear' area over the assigned size and the rest of the picture will be shaded... hmmm... do I make sense?

I guess all the Photoshop guys are busy in such a busy weekend but I will stick arround a little longer and see if some one else chimes-in otherwise... I think I will be abandoning this project for now.

Ya I know what you mean but I don't know how to do that.
I always use the adjust image to resize all of my pictures. But that wouldn't work if you needed an exact size, as is the case with your pics.

Exactly... Thank you for your input anyway!

Finally, I have some time right now so I am going to play with Photoshop a little although I know nothing of photoshop.

open photoshop and select the crop tool and put in the ratio size you need in these boxes here.

drag the tool over the part you want to crop. adjust. and click the check mark on the top bar.

Great... thank you for your time. :buttrock

I had just find that out a few minutes ago playing arround with photoshop but it was not so clear to me weather it was working or not. After your post, I now confirm it and I will start working on the pictures.

I hope I finish on time!
