Well tomorrow ( sunday ) and monday and tuesday ( if they are open ) im going snowboarding...anyone care to join?
I was there last weekend, and it is the first time in 3 years that i have seen so much snow...they have like 20" base, fresh powder and are making more with the snow machines...they have all 3 lifts open... it is awesome..

Here is a quick price guide:

Regular Season Pass: 500.00
College Season Pass: 350.00 ( that is what i purchased )
Full Day one time pass: 50.00 ( from 9am-4pm )
Half Day one time pass: 45.00 ( from 12pm-4pm )

Anyways...
Anybody up for some snowboarding/skiing??

i might be able to go,next weekend as well but my rear tires are really bad so i will have to drive at 5mph, got everything but boots and good clothes

ahh roads are perfect...i take the bimmer every weekend...and trust me, if my bald ass tires make it, you guys have nothing to worry about...
John, i have an extra board, if you dont want to rent...its old school though, but hey, its free, i can let you borrow it for the day..all you would have to rent is boots, and you can rent those at sports chalet for like $10 or so....
The road on the way up there like i said, its clear and no ice/snow or anything...its good...the actual snow tracks for snowboarding are perfect...nice fresh powder, they got osme new rails, tables, boxes, and jumps....

Not 100% yet, and I dont have any snowboarding gear at all. But I might be able to go next weekend. Where exactly is Lee Canyon -- right up in Mt. Charleston?

I believe renting plus lift ticket is 80 bucks a day...not 100% sure though....

you can rent a board boots and bindings from the rec center on nellis for $20 fri-monday. 20 bones+4 days= good deal. and its good shit. for those of you without the clothes all you really need i would say is some snowboarding pants, cuz if you're like me you'll be on your ass alot, and a GOOD set of gloves. Other than that I wear a long sleeve polar-tec shirt, john prolly has this with his RFI issue, and a t-shirt. then when I'm not boarding just a light sweater. But you can score this stuff at big 5 or dicks sportiing good or if you're a baller at REI. so yeah. when I get back from cali i'd lick to go out boarding with you. we could have a boarding meet, that could be cool. get a bunch of friends together and all carpool up to go boarding. If you wanted to be ballers we could spend 2 days, all pitch in on a hotel and road trip up to brian head.......

As far as clothes...the only snowboarding gear i have is a snowboarding DC Jacket, some regular puffy gloves and thats it...i just double layer on the pants and im all set...under the jacket i just have a t-shirt...i used to wear a long sleeve, but i was sweating after awhile, and you dont want that in the cold...now for the pants, if you think that you will fall a lot, you need to get something like wind breakers or water proof shit, because it sucks if you are all soaked up...i just wear my puma pants and another set of pants, but i dont fall very often, only when i hit up rails, boxes, or jumps, i might eat an elephant size shit every now and then...but thats about it...

Anyways....
All right fellas, im selling my snowboard...ill sell everything as a package....board, bindings and boots...the board is Burton, bindings are Burton of course ( you can only use Burton bindings with Burton snowboards ) and the boots are Burton as well...
The board is in excellent condition, been riding on it for 2 seasons now and i love it...boots are good too, used but keep your feet warm...bindings, the left binding has a crack on the back...is it something that might break while you are riding? no, it will not...would i recommend a replacement for that binding?...yes, i would....
Anyways....i'll let it all go for $225.00....let me know if any one is interested...
Burton is the best brand for snowboards....it is like the M6 in the 6 series bimmahs!!! ;)

P.S. no i am not quiting snowboarding, i just purchased a brand new Burton set last night...~650.00 for board, bindings and boots....
