Just wondering...When i was driving my volvo i read on that forum that people used kiwi (the shoeshine stuff) to redo there trim. Just put good three or four coats and make sure you let it dry. My trip isnt that great and I want to liven it up. Anyone ever done this? Or any other things i should try?
tthanks

yea, i've heard about using PB also but I'm wondering what the procedure is exactly.... smear it on and then wipe it off or what..??.. :dunno
Also being in the Dub scene, I used to use a heat gun on my trim pieces...but I've since found out that the plastic on the bimmer is a different compound than that of Volkswagen's so that doesn't work either. God I wish it did cause it turned out soooo good, time and time again. Made it look brand new all over again and it freakin lasted forever too! :(
...don't use the heat gun method, it doesn't work on BMW trim!!!

Few months ago a member here was asking about this and he found out the hard way that it doesn't work. I think a VWer recommended it to him but he'd never tried it on his BMW.

I've heard some good things about Forever Black. Never used it myself though but I have a couple of friends that did and they liked it.

Forever black isn't so forever.. you'll get maybe 2-3 carwashes out of before it's right back to faded gray...

Simoniz's back to black is another often mentioned remedy.

Peanut butter works. Just make sure to use the smooth kind not the chunky. ;)
I've used both the forever black and mother's back to black. Both work very well but will eventually fade again.

I think i might try the kiwi when summer hits : ) you put on 2 or 3 generous coats then let it bake in the sun : )

people suggest not to let it dry in direct sunlight, just pop them off and let them dry for like a day, one coat should be good since it dyes it somewhat.
