I just bought an '05 530i. It came with only one key. Need another key. I know the dealer could sell me one, but as you know dealer prices on everything is jacked way up. Is there a less expensive option?

However it will serve the purpose of opening and starting the car. White94RX 12-24-2007, 12:33 PM yeah. your dealer is the only option for keys. BlackE39Sport 12-31-2007, 03:33 AM You have not choice other than go to a dealer and buy a key for your car. It is encoded and cut. You will not be able to find a cheaper route. 160 may be steep but that is what happens when you buy a German car. It will cost more for everything but you didn't buy the car because you are a frugal person. If you did, sell the car now and by a Asian car. my545jjes 01-16-2008, 01:13 AM are you sure its 40 bucks. my dealer said usd100 dello 01-16-2008, 03:29 PM if you want a valet key with a remote, then $40 is the price, but if you want a key with the remote feature, then $150 is the price.
