I'm still experiencing the exhilaration of owning my first BMW - reading the manual, pressing the buttons, staring at it from different angles and, of course, driving it.

Here's another thing I'm wondering if anyone can comment on:

If you remove the floor panel in the trunk you'll see, closer to the back seat end:

- A wiring harness with two soft grey wrapped wiring extensions.
- A metal bracket with "L" shaped tabs about 8-10" apart.
- A metal box under the bracket that has a Blue Tooth symbol on it.

I'm assuming these are probably for optional equipment that didn't come with the car but if you can explain, thanks. (I'd send a picture but I'm supposed to be working rather than talking BMW!)

Your car comes prewired for bluetooth phone integration which can be added by the dealer. That probably explains your discoveries.

Mrakan is always very helpful -- if he is ever not around, or you want detailed schematics, check out
REALOEM.COM below -- you can find the answers to your questions (and many others)
Hope this helps

Hello "alquintero":

If you liked that, get yourself a copy of the latest WDS and TIS DVDs. Fantastic information.
