I am wondering if anyone on the board has experieced key failures for their cars.

My dad just bought a used '06 750Li with 6500km and the key is falling apart. A part of the arrow that points to the car came off and the bottons in generally feel like its gonna fall apart. I don't see any scratches or water marks.

The car only carries a 2 year warrenty in Hong Kong. I wonder if this is something that can be repaired under warrenty. Its coming up at Aug of '08.

My question is, have anyone experience this problem? Or is it a norm for the buttons on these key fobs to fall apart.
