I am looking to plan a New Years meet for us TN guys. I am looking to host this on Jan. 6 (Sunday) starting around 2PM in Chattanooga TN. We will have a mini meet to say hey check out the rides, then head in somewhere to warm up for a nice lunch. Afterwards we can do a movie, bowling, bar, drinks, whatever comes to mind. We had a nice meet in Atlanta last weekend with 12+ people and had a blast. Lets get something little for the TN people here and have some fun with it. More details to come as soon as I see how many people are interesed in this.

Not big on just meets, but drives are a different story.

There is a nice drive around a ridge/city view. It would take a good 15-20 minutes to complete at a decent speed. This can also be an option as well if we have enough members interested.

My vote goes for Mobry/Signal/Suck creek and through the valley. Should take about 45 minutes to an hour. We have not done this run in a long while.

I'd rather do a drive than lunch.. what roads did we take last time?

The way I will probably set it up is a short meet and great, snap some pics, hit up the drive. Then on the way back from the drive grab something to eat.

Any chance this could be pushed up to 11-12 o'clock? It gets dark so damn early now..... If I come in from north of K-town it would work a little better for me.

If I push this to 11 or 12 that is going to be putting some people leaving as early as 7:30. That is one thing I didn't want to do since our last meet was so early.

Push it up to around 11-12 and everything would work out great. I should be able to make it, won't promise anything, cuz eveytime i do, i miss out on the drive. I should be able to get few people to come out, bmws, 240s and such.

I might be able to push noon or so. I will have to check with everyone that is already planning on coming in.

We will be parking in the parking lot across from the restaurant to ensure that we have parking for everyone and that we are also parking our cars away from other people who may not be so kind when opening doors. We will wait in the parking lot until 2:30 checking out the rides and meeting everyone. I figure that we should be done eating around 4:00/4:30 it is at this time we can cruise to downtown Chattanooga (it's about a 12-15 minute drive) to take a nice group photo around the river and such. I am unsure of the show times of movies at this point (as they do not show them this far in advance) however I was thinking a movie or bowling. As always, if all else fails we can all cruise to Hooters after the photo shoot!

Hmmm...might be able to make it for this. Depends when i head back to school. The later on Sunday the better for me, contrary to popular demand.

Because a lot of people have to travel and the original meet was not set to get there early.

BTW, you do not have to be 21 during the time we are going so all is well.

And I'll admit it...my car does not like the twisties...however if my 135 would hurry up and get here I would be more than happy to come out and play! :)

IF YOU PLAN TO ATTEND PLEASE COPY AND PASTE YOUR NAME INTO THE LIST

We will be parking in the parking lot across from the restaurant to ensure that we have parking for everyone and that we are also parking our cars away from other people who may not be so kind when opening doors. We will wait in the parking lot until 2:30 checking out the rides and meeting everyone. I figure that we should be done eating around 4:00/4:30 it is at this time we can cruise to downtown Chattanooga (it's about a 12-15 minute drive) to take a nice group photo around the river and such. I am unsure of the show times of movies at this point (as they do not show them this far in advance) however I was thinking a movie or bowling. As always, if all else fails we can all cruise to Hooters after the photo shoot!

I will also have some misc gifts that we will be raffling off as well. If anyone needs to reach me prior to the event via email my email is ITP (MKIV_4DR@comcast.net) and if you need my cell please shoot me a PM. I hope to see everyone there! As always, drive safe and be careful!
