I recently purchased a 540i sport 6 speed and was wondering if anyone out here has any experience with performance mods. my other car is a 96 mustang cobra convertible with a blower and 370 rear wheel horsepower. I know I can't get there unless I want to spend a fortune but was thinking of modest gains. does anyone have experience with a cold air intake and software upgrade. the $ per HP gain is high, but if it makes a noticeable difference, I may try it.

i don't want to waste time with chips and intakes because I'lll probably put a sc kit on this puppy once it's paid off( 59 pmts to go ) But I always overpay each month. For now my first mod is a limited slip differential with more agressive gearing 3.46...
