This weekend I drove up to Kansas City. Its about a two hour drive and so I decieded to put on my cruise. I turned it on fine, but when I tried to set it to 80mph it would excelerate then completly shut off. After that point it wouldnt let me use my cruise again. Anyone else ever had this problem? I almost never use my cruise but it makes me wonder why it wont work. Any ideas what could be wrong? Thanks.

No, I dont have a set limit. 80s pretty slow to me. lol

I was having similar problems with my cruise control so I replaced my "cruise control actuator", BMW part number 65718369027. This totally fixed my issues with the cruise control. See the link below for my cruise symptoms.

Try the cruise control actuator
