Comin home from buyin a few x-mas presents and this e90 comes flying behind me and get right on my tail....

it semed like he wanted to play so I decide to follow him, i get behind him and he goes to turn right, there are no cars going that way so he makes the turn and punches it, Im right behind him and as soon as i make the turn i punch it, he was about a car ahead of me and at WOT by the time i make the turn and floor it but I caught up to him by the end of second (60mph) and pulled hard all through third and put about 3 or more cars between us by 90mph

(I turned at about 15mph and was in first gear)

he killed it short after because i was still pulling away like crazy...

I want a daytime vid of your car against your buddy's G35, with the camera IN the G35, so we can tell if he's really pushing it. If you went and picked up an E30 M3, and named it "Race Machin", then it would almost be apropos. But to pick up a largely utilitarian/luxury 330xi - even the AWD system is designed for such (for snow region sales), not performance, and call it "Race Machin" seemed absurd at the time. The OP did account for himself real well though.

I've ran a 330i (NO "x") of the E90 variety (faster than the E46), and beat it by 2+ cars to 120. Unless your 330xi is capable of 14.1 stock (which my particular flavor of Maxima is), then you're NOT faster than just "any" stock Maxima. My mods are less than yours, BTW.

NOW you "happen" to "know" someone who has a 3.5 Maxima? :rolleyes Also, if the Maxima was indeed "brand new", then it would be a CVT-equipped automatic, considering that the last 6 speeds went out in '05 as '06 models. Also, my generation Maxima is faster than any 2004+ models, since they got significantly heavier after 2003.

Note that I downshifted to 4th, when I had more than enough room to downshift to 3rd, and would have been even faster, had I been going full tilt before I hit 80, instead of having to "dig out" from there.

How much does a 330xi weigh? Shouldn´t the four wheel drive slow it down a bit in a roll? Does it have a better 0-60 time than a RWD 330ci?

This is an E46 330xi vs E90 328 thread, yet you want to turn it into a contest with the OP and race him in your Crapxima. How sad? If the measure of a car is only about how fast it goes in a straight line the C63 will be winning all the comparos against the E92 M3. Put your Crapxima against even the 325 on a track or road course and I'll teach you a thing or two. Number three is probably closest to reality. 3000 dollars for 330ci performance is pretty good i´d say. I can keep up with M3E46 in some some intervals. (Not in high speed!!)

Valid points, but you have the right to say, and type with-in legal means, but just because so, doesn't mean people don't have the right to criticize someone elses choice.

I'd rather debate by numbers and facts rather than, my friend has this, i beat it, thus it accounts for every other car just like it, and therefor I'm faster than it. The OP just stated he can beat any stock maxima 3.5 or 3.0 and the way it sounds, any g35 or 350 period. And if I do end up buying another BMW for my next purchase, my posts in here won't change ONE bit.
