Ever walk into one of those calendar stores in the mall and flip through the Mustang calendar because thats the only car calendar there? Yeah, I know the feeling. Thats why last year I started the annual Bimmerforums e34 calendar so we can enjoy our favorite cars each month.

In the link below you have the option of voting for 12 images that will go in this years calendar. Each image is provided by a member of this forum.

After the voting is over the calendars will be available for purchase from an outside company for around $25. Voting ends 12/23 at 11:59pm.

I am disappointed that there weren't as many entries as last year but oh well. There are still some very nice submissions.

I am dissapointed by the number of calender submissions this year. We had so many more last year. WTF?!!! I think we have been talking about this since like Feb 07!!!!

I forgot to submit by my car is apart anyway

not as many submissions this year.. but good one regardless. Jimmyz old car would've been a great submission, but that picture was just taken 2 days ago, and the submission cutoff date was over a month ago (it just took a while to find an online poll)

Pchops were only allowed to enhance pictures, not to change your car (ie. adding rims)

We can always vote to have that pic be the front page.. I'll work on some designs for the front... (Just in case)

We should run a summer calendar with only heavily modified E34s :)

There could always be a tourings only calendar too. I know I'd buy that one; but they can't be nicked pics from around the world...member submissions only.

Thanks Zak/Mac for going out of your way. I do feel there could have been some stronger images, but everyone kinda slacked and didn't meet deadlines...etc. It'll still be a good calendar from the looks of it.

I would honestly rather wait for a calender that had the best pics rather than have one now. Even if it's a month late. Just start and end with February or whatever.

Australia. That seems to be the only place that still has a couple left. Otherwise you'll have to wait until I get someone to make copies of mine.

I had a hard time deciding on the photos. Narrowing it down to just 12 was tough.

I dunno, I looked through them all and went from the bottom up and got exactly 12 by the time I reached the top.

There should be a rule about calendar worthy shots.......LESS is BETTER ! Meaning of course....the less distractions in the background the better.( per your perception,of course);)
Pick up the trash in the scene if there is any etc. Some scene/site prep is needed sometimes for a "WINNING" shot.There are nice cars out there to vote against that didn't get the votes due to these failed principals.:(

yeah I was in last year's... I was hoping shrike and more of the other touring owners would have been in this year's.
Some one had a green touring in a landscape shot... unfortunately it is supposed to be a car calendar and a 1" long car just didn't cut it for me. If they had zoomed in on the car... it would have been a GREAT shot

Here's an idea....not sure about the cost, but why not put out a two year calendar, that way you could have lots more pics in it and it may even save on cost?

Just a sugestion for next years Calendar submissions........MAYBE......the webpage for submissions could be up all year or last 6 months and people could be suggested towards the page link as pix of their 5 get admired/recognised for decent shots???
By year end.....their could be a round one forum vote to select the top 24 shots.....and then the final voting for the calendar ??

I can offer space on my site for next year's if needed. It can all be done through that if it would be easier.

Another suggestion is to make it a little more public (updated stickies, etc) than this year. People slacked because stickies from 2007 were still up. Not your fault though, I'm aware of that.

Always glad to help.2 years ago I made an e30 calendar and tried to broaden it to 3 e30 forums and it didn't work out too well. I think keeping it just at bimmerforums is the best idea to avoid confusion. If someone from another site wants to enter all they have to do is join bf.c and PM me or post in the thread. If you see another car on another forum just let them know the calendar deal and they can pop over here.

I was TO'd for putting up "inappropriate" material once... was out for a month, but PM still worked fine. They can be real bitches in OT sometimes.... especially considering what goes on in there. Like I told Kevlar when it happened, I've seen worse with no ban stick thrown, how was I to know what's accepted and what isn't?

He has all the photos hosted, so all you have to do is download them to your computer and then create your own calendar.
