CAPEBOY 12-18-2007, 11:52 AM Indicates a problem with the SLS. earl34 12-18-2007, 11:53 AM which is? i replaced the shocks and strusts and springs, it just now came on? 2DYE4 12-18-2007, 12:05 PM is it a touring? It's throwing a code, mine does this also, I beleive it's a bad sensor. But if yours is deleted, what delete kit did you use. earl34 12-18-2007, 12:23 PM No, its a 535I 5 speed, thats why i am confused, i thought the Tiurings had the suspension leveling 2DYE4 12-18-2007, 12:25 PM No, its a 535I 5 speed, thats why i am confused, i thought the Tiurings had the suspension leveling and M5's...weird CAPEBOY 12-18-2007, 12:31 PM No, its a 535I 5 speed, thats why i am confused, i thought the Tiurings had the suspension leveling I'm confused??? My Touring gives me that warning, but I deleted the SLS and haven't got around to sorting out the sensor. earl34 12-18-2007, 01:28 PM any other ideas on the issue, its deff not a wagon and its for sure not an M5 zubbie 12-18-2007, 01:47 PM Just a thought as an ex programmer. Perhaps it is an ECU fault or an errant ground or signal on one of the unused pins on the ECU which would have indicated and SLS error for a touring or M5 (even though you don't have the system). Another idea is that the PO put in a different ECU or chip than stock. My guess is that all stock chips have the whole range of error texts burned into them in a lookup table offset by the error code generated. For some reason your error (if you have one) is producing the wrong text. This will be a challenge for sure to trace. Anyone got a logic analyzer handy?:D attack eagle 12-18-2007, 01:49 PM I wonder if there is a jumper or something that keeps other cars from seeing the message. the switch would have been on the right (pass) side about 1 inch above the hinge point for the rear trailing arm in any case here is how you get rid of it on an m5 or Touring maybe it will help you. http://www.unitedbimmer.com/forums/e12-e28-e34-e39-e60/8459-suspension-levl-message-after-self-level-delete.html |
