I know this has probably been covered multiple times, and I've tried searching, but can't really find the exact info I'm looking for. I found a totaled '98 M3 with S52 and 5sp both in good shape with about 150k miles. First question is how much this setup would be worth (it's still in the car with ecu and wiring harness). Second is how expensive and difficult it would be to swap this into either an non-m e36 or ti, or another E36 m3 body? Any info would be appreciated, thanks.

Find an OBD-II car for the easiest swap... it's pretty much plug and play, to do it in a pre-96 car will require extra work and parts for the OBD-I swap.

i'm gonna add on to the OP. Approx how many hours would it be to swap an obd2 s52 into your 96+ obd2 e36?
