On 12-14-07 picked up the new 335xi. Drove for 3 to 5 miles. A warning light came up awd and dsc malfunction. Called the dealer and they said to keep driving, it would go out. It didn't, but if I turned the car off and locked the doors, it would reset the malfunction. started the car and drove 3 to 5 miles and the warning light would come back up. did this three times. need some help. The dealer has the car now, has anyone else had this problem, or know what might be going on
Thanks Fedler

Literally thousands of different faults can cause a DSC light to come on. Let the techs at the center diagnose it.

Let the dealer fix it, sorry to hear about the headache but once the car is working it will be a pleasure to drive.

I'm betting they didn't correctly setup the car when the got it. We had some issue with our VW when we got it, should be no problem. Most problems come up early in most things we buy...but hang in there.

Sorry to hear you ran into an issue...I picked mine up on 11-16-07 with 10 miles on the OD and at 1300 miles everything is working perfectly! So far so good!

I'm a happy camper! :)

what exactly do they have to "setup" when the dealer gets it? at best they program the keys and a few things, right?

can u be more specific?

I understand the dealer (and also the regional preparation center) does lots of stuff, including removing shipping blocks, stripping off that shipping grease to protect the car during ocean transit, there's something they do with the battery as well (reconnect the battery leads?)...

I had my navi go out when they delivered the car to the dealer but they fixed it and no problems since then running perfectly.

Basically many dormant electronic functions are "activated" and other little stuff like setting tire pressures.
