Question to the forum.

I purchased a M3 engine, transmission and ECU to perform a M3 conversion to my 94 318i however after looking at the $$$ and total project I just installed a supercharger and called it a day.

Now I was wondering if I can install the engine and transmission into my 1990 525i (with the m20 engine). What else would be needed to be replaced for this type of installation and conversion?

I'm not looking to smoke tires and clock crazy 1/4 mile times, just to get the same or better power than my 735i with what I have lying around in the garage.

I'm surprised nobody responded yet. What year is the m3 engine? OBD1 or OBD2?

My best advise to you is to do some searching on e30's with s50/s52 swaps done to them. You will need almost an identical parts list as they do since you have the m20 engine. Good luck.

It should be pretty much a direct bolt in with 92+ E34 parts.
