had the car for about 4 months now, and every now and then the idrive fails to boot or will crash during driving, has anyone else experienced this problem or know of a fix?

depending on the production date of the vehicle, there is a software update for this problem

My idrive is not failing to boot or crashing during driving.... but when booting up or when searching for places, it's extremely slow...

Will be brought this up at the next service visit.

hey i had the same problem with an australian 2008 530i (528i in the states). it stayed on the BMW screen and didnt do anything. no radio, tv, cd, nav, etc. all you need to do is take it to the dealer and its covered by the warranty. the just get a hardware replacement. hope this isnt too late...
