It ruins your cars body lines. I think it simply would just look out of place.

Ok, I'll be the non-purist bastard and say "I kinda dig it!". It looks like they took the time to make the top of the bumper follow the "square" front lines of the E36 AND it has the side pockets to slip fit on an E36. I'd like to see this very bumper mounted but I say go for it, be different! Its your car and it should reflect your opinion not follow the sheep herd...
I've been looking for foglight inserts just like these to put round foglights with a round air intake in the stock M3 bumper. If anyone has seen such an animal let me know...

The only thing round on the E36 exterior is the wheels and the roundel..and the headlights...and the rotors...ok, and you can kinda see the electric fan through the grilles ...and the exhaust tips are more or less round...and...well, there goes my argument right out the window. ;)

HA! I think its perfectly ok to mix squared shapes with roundish. M3 mirrors are perfect example. Sometimes contrast is a good thing, it creates interest. Square, straight, square gets monotonous and boring. Then again I usually hate anything stock so anything to make it different will always get my vote.

And sometimes contrast isn't quite such a good thing :stickoutt

To each his own. Maybe it'd look good.

i think the bumper would work but it needs to be accompanied by a matching set of side skirts and rear bumper. possibly a lip spoiler on the trunk. and NOT E36 M3 mirrors but E46 M3 mirrors. the problem arises from the fact that there arent really any sideskirts or rear bumpers that would help the bumper without looking too 'Bodykit'-ish, if you know what i mean. then again if you are going for the TRUE euro look, then pulled fenders, stretched tires, this bumper, crazy sideskirts and rear bumper, chrome headlights, and painted wheels would work. good luck on your decision and im sure the car will look good.

I'm thinking about it but i found some sellers that have the regular e36 M3 bumper in urethane for less than 250 shipped so thats tempting!!

A few recent threads and new photos got me thinking about this front end again. Just wanted to post these to give you food for thought... Don't let a few closed minds sway you from what could be a really nice idea....

I love the coupe, but it messes with my head! It's like three different generations in one car!
