Hey guys, I'm new to the forums as well as to BMW. I was looking to purchase or even lease a 335XI sedan but before I did I wanted some feedback on the car itself. I know it's relatively new but does the car respond well to the mods that are out there? Any problems so far? Good as a daily driver? Any other information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Pick like three random threads on this board and you will find you answers. Very tunable and totally a daily driver

I have a 335Xi and love it. I added the JB2R and am getting ready to install the "H" Pill that Terry came out with (this may be all Greek to you but that's the mod I did and Terry on this forum sells them at a very reasonable price with excellent customer service).

I love the 335Xi for more than just snow driving though, on-ramps are like being on rails...it really holds well. The cars handling is firm but not obnoxious, you feel the road, but it definitely isn't beating you to death. The back seat is one of my problems, there just isn't much room but I was OK with this as I just love the way the car drives. The cup holders aren't too nice either, but I deal with that too.

Excelleration is unbelievable even before any mods are added...but put in the JB2 and it get's really serious really quick. I've only run some 0-60 times once, the day I put the mod in the car, it was raining cats and dogs but I took it back to an industrial park with a nice long, wide stretch of road that had NO traffic...brake torqued it to about 3K RPM and let her rip...time was 4.5 and some hundredths of a second...absolutely crazy and it was smooth the entire way up. I have the Steptronic and I let the car do the shifting for me vs. the sport mode...I think in the grand scheme the automatic is quicker than the manual transmission...you have to drive dead on everytime to beat the Steptronic as they're only 1/10th of a second away from each other, not many people are good enough to run with that so the Steptronic makes more sense to me.

Get behind the wheel and you can fit this car to you like a glove...adjustable seats, steering wheels etc and it feels just perfect.

I took delivery of my 2008 335xi sedan on Dec 4, 2007. It has premium, sport, 6 mt, iPod, winter package, and nav. The color is SG with black leather and the light poplar wood trim.

This car drives so well. Acceleration is smooth and powerful. It handles very well though it is not broken in yet so I have not really pushed it. Highway driving at 80 tachs around 2500 in 6th gear. Step on the gas without down shifting and away you go.

I got to drive it in snow this past week several times. I have the stock all season wheels that came with the car and it was amazing. The car just blew me away how well it handled. This was not driving in a light dusting. We had some good storms and this handled it all very well.

All I can say is go to a dealer and drive one. I don't plan to mod this so I can't comment on that. It is my daily driver vehicle and puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. This is the first car I've ever driven that has done that.

I considered the 535xi and drove it when making my choice. It is a really nice car but I really liked the handling of the 335xi better based on the way I drive. The 5 is great if you're looking for a slightly bigger car with more focus on luxury. The seats in the 5 are phenomenal, the drive is smooth and fun and IMO you can't go wrong with that one either.

I have no regrets and can't say enough good about the car so far. Hoping that feeling continues for a long time.
