Driving in newport coast. At the first stop light a 325 pulls up next to me. We cruise up the hill because there usualy radar cops. We get to the next light and were both ready to race. I turn traction control off and put it in first. Light turns green I accelerate, slowly putting space between us. He definently was auto. I ended up putting about a car length between and shut the race down at 80. Overall it was nice beating a car that's newer then mine. Only mod I have is a borla exhaust.

Not sure on the E46 (regarding 0-60) but I do remember with my E90 328i the 0-60 times for manual and auto are 6.3 and 6.7 seconds and BMWs manuals always tend to be a half to a full second quicker to 60 from what BMW claims at least so that sounds like an expected outcome as 330xiRaceMachin said.

Nice. :buttrock

There not really quick there just really fun. I put a borla exhaust on mine and enjoy driving it alot. Honestly though ever sense I put the exhaust on it seems like it got alot more power just from that 1 mod. So in a perfect world I would have a 335 but this was my first bimmer. I think the 335 has everything that you wish the 325 had. I also like the old bodystyle. Before they changed it.

Not doubting you,
but if he was auto he must have left it in drive, not in a sport mode.
Thats a 215hp car with similar weight. It's decently quicker than the e46 if both transmissions are the same, so it should at least keep up auto vs. manual.
