So, I have a set of TSX projectors and FX35 projectors on their way to me so that I can play with them and decide which ones to use. For those of you who have done an FX35 bi-xenon retrofit, what do I need to do to activate the shutter?

I found a circuit that's advertised for E46es that seems interesting here: http://integramod.tripod.com/products/bixenon/bixenon.html

Do the FX projectors have the dual circuits, or just one? i.e. can I just splice them into the high beam wiring, or do I need to throw a relay or something like the above circuit on?

Hmm. Answered my own question, it seems.

According to this thread here, they just need power and don't need a protection circuit:

I bought the guys circuit as it is a better design then mine and I am using a couple of BMW bi-xenons one E46 and one from an X-5.

I am planning to install these in my M3 E36 in place of the current ellipsoids which are low beam only.

I'm in the middle of this retrofit right now actually... I'll be making a thread with pics of my progress.

From what I've read, all you need to do is splice the pos/neg high beam connector to the solenoid - it's different than the e46 bi-xenon. From what I've read, a popular mod is to put the TSX lens on the FX35 projector.
