View Full Version : Another 3.0CS in RI
mgthompson 12-14-2007, 02:10 PM There was an article in the Providence Journal this week about a '72 3.0CS and it's owner. That is a 33.3% increase in the number of Coupes in RI!
I will see if he will come to Colt State Park next year.

It looks like you we're going to give a nice elaborate explanation of what CSP is, and when it takes place....but then you got fed up and opted for the easy way out with "our bimmer meet".:nono
savage217 12-14-2007, 09:27 PM csp is one of the most anticipated seasonal meets ever created. People from all over the world, even Europeans, actually take ferry's (with their bimmers) to come to these meets. Its no joke.;)

Haha I am lazy.
It's a monumental occasion with many exciting events. There's usually some hardcore wiffle ball with my team prevailing as the victors. Then there is the semi-tackle foot ball game with Nick and I running up the scores. There's the build up of Arctic coming but never showing. BealeAss's amazing 15lb burgers, Rich's massive array of various meats. The grill master aka FredK pwns the meat. The occasion E46Fantastics doing there little burnouts when they head out all tidied up in their designer sweatshirts. And finally the E30 Vert with bondo all over it that flys by just about every meet. etc etc
EDIT: Oh and there is a bunch of sick Bimmers.

You can call me Matty, Craig, or Josh (we need another one).....
jeffcfp1 12-17-2007, 07:53 PM I saw the article. Too bad the writer didn't know what he was talking about with the history of the 3.0 and Six series. I recall that they said that the 3.0 replaced the Six in the seventies. Writer must have misinterpreted the owner.
mgthompson 12-19-2007, 02:24 PM If you look on Wikipedia, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_New_Six, and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_6_Series, you will see where the information and confusion came from. I sent the author an email describing the errors. No response yet.

Could be that the author feels embarassed for not having done his research correctly =P
mgthompson 12-25-2007, 02:17 PM I have been swapping email with yet another Coupe owner in Little Compton, RI. That makes it 5 Coupes in RI! There is another BMW enthusiast shopping for one so it may be 6 soon.
I will see if I can get them all come to Colt State Park next year.
