It's true. Some people just don't realize how much of a difference a stock suspension and an aftermarket suspesion can make.

Besides the obvious, there's less lift of the front when you go WOT, it's much more responsive. If you're stiff enough in the front, you will even up the braking bias as well. It's more noticable under traffic conditions.

What suspension did you go with? Are you doing sways and strut bars too? (they're worth it)

Yeah, it's a huge difference from stock, that's for sure. Handling and braking is a shit ton better. No body roll and no nose diving under hard braking. But yeah, I've only had the suspension on for a few days, so I havent obviously experienced everything.

I ended up getting H&R's street performance coilover kit...which is basically their basic kit. Height adjustable but not dampening adjustable. Which is fine for me. I'll probably get sways, but not anytime soon. Probably sometime in the spring. And I am still trying to find a pair of strut bars that I actually like.

speaking of sway bars. you have a front sway bar on that parts M3 you wanna get rid of? I have a rear and want the pair!

but yeah you're right about suspension though. I think it's the most important mod on any car. and you need to do it right! I figured that out on my 3rd setup :(

Remember, Ben, the stock M3 front bar is actually smaller than your stock bar. Because the M3 bar mounts to the struts it can actually be smaller but resist roll more. The biggest stock bar is off a 318ti sport.
