my 325I just started having problems turning the steering wheel. Sounds like the power steering pump, could it be something else?

Uh... unless you have a swap you're not telling us about this would appear to be the wrong forum.

But while you have us here the power steering pumps in these cars are common failures. I'd start by checking the fluid. Usually by the time you can visually see pulley play on the pump it's quite dead.
