i can get a kicker zx1000.1 amp and kicker 15" solobaric L7 sub for $400 brand new still in the boxes, and im really thinking about doing it. But i was just wanting to know how it will sound before i do it. I usto have 2 12" alpine type r's, does anyone know how these would compare to a single s15L7?

The L7 15 in a ported box would smash all over the type r woofers. I have seen those woofers and that amp hit over 147 db in normal system conditions with a healthy battery and stock alternator.

For that price, do it.

But make sure its not remanufactured equipment because many sellers try to sell remanufactured as new.

well i can get it directly through the vendor because i work at circuit city and get a huge discount on kicker and eclipse. the only problem is i have to buy it all at once and i have a 1500 dollar limit.
