well the big end finally gave in on my 318 so i am going to transfer the engine etc from a 325 into the shell

the 318 is a 92 and the 325 is a 93

i know i will have to swap the suspension and breaks form the 325 as well as the engine box and diff

the only worry i have is the wiring?

has anyone done this sort of conversion before?

i dont know if the looms will simply swap over and plug into each other or if i will be cutting and joining wires.

The dash cluster is probably different (4 cyl vs 6 cyl tach signal) among the obvious items you have mentioned. Time to crack open the Bently BMW E36 manual and compare wiring diagrams. I suspect that will be your only major stumbling block (and it might not be major at all).

The motor mounts are different, too....

Since your in there you might as well get some better motor mounts for the 325 drivetrain. :D

cool the electrics are the only worry i have as i have the whole other car for all the parts
