I just got my DEPO with Apexcone HIDs. I plug everything in and so far everything is great! First time with ellipsoid or HID and I love how bright they are and the color and ect.

However, before I bolt the lights back into the car, I am wondering if I can do the daytime running lights. I put the W5Ws in the slot, but I am just not sure how to connect the grey wire with the turn signal wires. There are 3 wires that plug into the turn signal. There is a red clip thing that came in both PnP harness packages, what is this for? Do I need to splice this grey wire to one of the turn signal wires?

I don't know the answer to your problem but I have Apexcone 4500k's and I agree, they are awesome. I don't think I can go back to halogen now, they're that much better. :buttrock Hardly even need the high beams. What color temp. did you get? Good luck w/ the installation.

Hey did you get DEPOs or what brand? I assume you don't run city lights or angel eyes? And I got the 4500k oem kelvin, not sure which color temp. 35 or 55. I got the one from understeer.com

I go the non-race and non-slim 4500k Apexcone kit from understeer. The one that hums when its on :). I am still surprised about how small the ballasts are.

Edit: I have the 35 watt one.

Edit 2: I just realized they gave me the "slim" ballasts, smaller than a Razer phone.

i cant remember what wire, i thought there was only two....but I picked one and tested to see if 12v was running through it when the parking lights were one, if it was, i spliced the grey wire into that one

you dont need to worry about grounding it, as long as it is grounded w/ the high beam wires

city lights FTW

Well I decided to splice those wires some other day.

But now the damn light itself is stuck. I am not sure if the fitments is good or what? I am thinking the only way I can get it to work is to take the whole nose panel off. But how?

No, my headlights are DJ Auto brand, which are almost identical to Depos and ZKWs I think. I actually didn't buy them or install them, the previous owner did (I've only had my car about 4 months or so). Mine have the non-slim ballasts. My parking lights still function as normal and I will be adding Predator Chromium angel eyes over break. :alright

The 4500K is the color temp., the 35 or 55 is just the wattage. I don't know for sure but I assume mine are just the 35W.

The ballasts hum? Didn't know that...maybe cuz they put out like 50,000 V or something. I could be way off but I think that's how HIDs work, the ballasts sends a high voltage to the bulb to make the arc and ignite the gas. I'll have to pop the hood and see if mine hum too.

Do you have a bigger picture of the smoked corners on your e36? It seems like most "smoked" corners look more clear than smoked. I thought about getting some, but I wouldn't want them to be too clear. I don't think clear corners look good on black cars....they look great on silver or white IMO.
