Yes, this is a pretty easy retrofit. 4" speakers fit really well in the door locations with a little creativity. I am actually in the process of doing this right now with all MB Quart Components. In order to fit 6.5" speakers in the kickpanels, you are going to have to cut a little metal, but nothing too extreme. Use the search function and you will find a lot of DIY's for retrofitting 4's in the doors and 6.5's in the kickpanels.

From what I have read in this part of the forum, you're better off spending the brunt of your funds on a good from component system. You aren't sitting in the back of your car when you listen to music, so rear fill is not as important as the front. One member said... "your car should be like your sitting in a concert, not in a movie theater" aka you don't want to try and get full surround sound in a car like you would in a home theater system. You want your sound coming at you from the front.

I'm going to use 6x9's in the back, with a smaller 10" sub in the trunk, and a nice set of MB Quart components in the front. The 6x9's should give me some rear fill without breaking the bank. I'm no expert here, but I'm just passing on what I have read. If I'm off, please someone correct me... but I'm thinking most of what I just wrote is a universal idea across the board.
