Looking to replace my worn out knob in the '72 with some wood. Think this would work? It has to be able to screw on correct?

Anybody? I really wanna jump on this thing. Unsure of how to check the spec on this thing. We need a 15mm X 1.5 correct?

I'm running a Mono shift knob on my 02. It just slides onto the shifter shaft, and is fixed via 3 allen head bolts. (I'm now running a custom-fabbed short shifter, made from a Z4 shifter shaft that has been cut down an inch, but the knob fit on my old shifter too).

Tom,
With that Z4 shaft, does that eliminate the rotating (hence why the symetrical knobs are more ideal for stock situations i guess) that stock shafts have in conjunction with the ssk? Just wondering, I had heard somthing to that affect a couple of days ago.

Yeah Chris, it totally eliminates the shifter rotation and it really tightens up the shifting 'precision'. ;-)
