I have searched this thoroghly, and have tried everything that was suggested to no avail. The fuse is fine, all the bulbs are good, all the bulb holders. I checked the wiring within a foot of the lights, all good. I am at a loss, PLEASE HELP!! I need brake lights!!

Search "brake light switch" this is a common problem on these cars. I believe its located just in front of the brake.

Hi, I noticed that the contact point in the socket gets corroded or somehow goes away.. A friend of mine built it up with solder, I just got a used housing - both of mine were bad.
Have a close look at the bulb's contact surface in the socket, then brake light switch if good.

yea i got rid of all the corrosion on the connecters, so the only thing left is the brake light switch. thanks guys

Yep, they fail suddenly and sounds like you have looked in all other obvious places. Good luck.
