I take my car (1997, 540) to inspection,
and the guy cleaned my air intake metering and let me pass the inspection.
But when I got my car back, all the interior lights won't turn on. (the main lights, the 4 reading light, and the door lights, though the lights in the sunlight blocker work.)
Seems that they have been deactivated, because not one of them working.
It is not possible all bulbs and switches are broken at the same time.
I know you could deactivate the lamps by pressing the buttom of the main light for 3 second. But when you press it again, everything should get back to normal according to the manual.
I don't know what they did to my 540, could they touch or broke some wire when they were cleaning the air intake metering? or deactivate the light in the onboard computer. Or It might be due to something else.
The interior lights don't work just make me feel really bad, because other parts of my 10 years old 540 worked so reliably. Thanks for any clue!!
