Car run fine saturday. Sunday she slept in the garage. This morning, she sounded and shaked bad - like a 2 cycle Harley. When I stepped out of the car, there was some blue smoke coming out of the hood and smelled like burned plastic. Check engine light on. So I took my wife's car (she was not working today).
Phoned BMW, and they thought engine is flodded (with gas).
When I came home, took my Peake reader and this is what it reads:
Table 19, Codes F0 (misfire detected cylinder #3) & F3 (misfire detected cylinder #6).
The spark plugs were changed this february (48000 miles), now I have 55000.
What would cause this? Could it be the suggested "flodding"? If so is it driveable - with only 4 cylinders? Booked a dealer check - it's going to happen the 11th Jan 2008, but I need the car.
Any help/suggestions greatly appreciated.

blue smoke is oil. As far as flooding... i would doubt it, but maybe i'm wrong. Drivable? Sure, it'll run. And it'll prolly get you where you want to go, in a loud shakey head-turning-at-stoplights manner. Is it SAFE for the car to drive like this? Not at all.

Misfire means first of all you're not getting your fuel burnt, which means it's shooting down to your exhaust and ruining/melting your cat. That alone should keep her hibernating till you get it checked out...

But in all fairness... think about it. Your car is running on half it's cylinders... if i carved out one of your lungs, where would you go first, work, or the hospital..?

Your plugs may have worked their way out. What type of plugs did you get? Bosch is known for this issue, Don't worry just go and check your plugs, take them out and if it is Bosch just **** can them.

Not sure what brand they are - dealer installed them with service 2. I assumed NGK? Will have to look. Also, could it be the coils? And is it common to have 2 sparkplugs (or coils) go at the same time?

The invoice says: 6 Longlife BKR6EQUP sparkplugs (12-12-9-071-003), so they are NGK. How can you check if they are toast? (visual check?)

It could be very well be coils. Why don't you swap with the other and see if the problem move with the coil, you know the rest.....

I'm back from work now.
This morning I tried to start one more time, and surprise: she started fine, no "check engine" lights, nothing. The drive to work and back perfect.
I am happy, but:
Any ideas what could have happened? Maybe something on the verge to go bad on me pretty soon?
