The only fun in those turns was actually , believe it or not, in my rear view mirror with some crazy (:stickoutt) dude in an M5 taking the 180 corners with the "touch" of the accelerator :D. But yeah, freeway runs were fun. Back then I had (still do) the stock non-sport suspension, I'm sure next year I'll have more fun since the new suspension and an M5 LSD diff is in the works :evil2

P.S. Oh yeah, and thanks for leading the 80% of the pack the wrong way throughout that parking lot after the gas station stop lmfao :finger22

Did you actually expect your 330 to compare to an e36m3? You shouldn't. I beat 330i/x/is all day long when my 1.8l Corolla had nothing but intake, exhaust, and tuning, probably 140-150whp and 2600lbs. 330s are MUCH slower than M3s, and they DO NOT BEAT G35s.

For those not familiar with this car, it had the 190 HP Celica GT-S motor in it.

Wow, that ZHP looked really slow. I feel like my 325 would pull that hard and it is slow as Hell. Granted I have never gone over 110, but it was pulling sooo much harder at that point that I think it would pull at least as hard as your car did at 130. I also think that my car (with a measly 180hp) goes around 140 delimited, and I don't know if that 330 was ever going to make it there. I bet its those wheels slowing you down.

I've experienced the fierce acceleration of a bone stock automatic e36 323 with multiple passengers at that speed in all its 170bhp glory, and I can almost guarantee it was as fast or faster.

I always thought the power to weight put the 540 even with an E36 from a dig, and an E46 from a roll. Who knows.

That sounds more reaonable, and we're talking about 100+ here. I have to believe the e36m3 would get dropped up there.

You also have to consider the 540 is longer and has better aero - lower drag, and perfect autobahn gearing. I haven't tried it personally, but there has to be a race out there somewhere...

That could be the case.

The engine is only rated for 300HP. and it's got 100k miles on it. Can't go fast.

wow there's def something wrong with ur car man. In my stock e39 528i (home-depot home made cai as the only mod) that i used to have, (with 160k miles no less) I got up to 140 mph:cool. And it was pulling hard! Although i actually dont believe that the speedometer was accurate....:corkysm62

Good times the other night. The 540 auto held up pretty well. I was suprised that at lower speeds it was faster than higher speeds against me.

Also FYI, my 'go slightly faster' mods are:
LTW flywheel, performance organic clutch, M50 intake, stromung catback, dinan SW, cosmos CAI, Evo 3 short shift kit, and also PS2's for some good traction

At least 100 lbs reduction due to no spare tire, catback exhaust, and Recaro SRD's.

M50 manifold did add alot up top ;) And the gearing of course, hopefully this summer I should have the governor removed and a shorter diff, we'll give it another shot :)

P.S. I still THINK/KNOW that I'd be faster then that M3 on the vid :rolleyes
