I just ordered some 18x8's rims for my 96 318i Vert. They are 38 mm offset and i just want advice on what size tire would be perfect for it. I want a low profile but I also want a smooth ride. I would also like it if they fit in the rear wheel well without any rubbing. Any suggestions? thank you in advance. THANK YOU!

the correct size is 225/40 x 18
I have Toyo T1R which have tremendous grip, Kumho and Goodyear have great tyres as well. unfortunately a smooth ride is one thing you wont get. There is very little sidewall and the casing are made quite stiff for the extra performance.

17s would have been better for ride and handling but 18s look better.
