Hey guys im here from E46F :) Just a quick question....

Ok guys, in complete seriousness im wondering if its possible to do a 335i engine swap into a E46. Im not knowledgeable about bmw tranny/engine/chasis fitment and all that stuff(coming from a honda background), so i was wondering if its possible at all before i look into such a project.
I was looking into getting an E46 M3 in summer, but im trying to see if its possible to do something a little more original. Id rather not hear "anything is possible with money", im wondering if its possible with a reasonable amount of modification, nothing too extreme in terms of custom work. I did a rsx swap in my 04 beater civic and it required a shitload of custom work becuase i wanted my aircon+power steering, so im not foreign to engine swap obstacles.

Thanks

Why do you think you're going to be able to perform this swap without spending a lot of money. Is this about performance or having something so called original to show off to friends.

The 335I engine is not a better peformance engine than the M3 so why would you swap the engine. Why not just spend the money an put a supercharger on the M3. A good supercharger package on an e46 M3 could be worth as much as 500hp.

335 turbo engine has much more potential than the S54 even with a super charger

I say go for it and slap some bigger turbos with custom software

I think it's an e46 M3 or a regular e46 with the 335i engine.

Depends on what you like: high strung, high revving engine or a torque monster? I can't imagine the swap would be too difficult, but the 335i engine is so new no one has attempted it as far as i know.
