Just put my winter wheels and tires on my '06 325i last Friday. We have had some snowy weather here in Chicago since then. I decided to go with a budget priced Sport Edition 17" rim from the Tire Rack and I found 225/45R/17 Kumho KW-17 winter performance tires for $79.95 each from buywheels.com. I am happy to say that the car drives great in cold dry weather as well as in the snow. The 5 spoke wheels look great and the ride is extremely comfortable. Much better than the runflat summer tires. Not a bad way to go for winter driving if you still want the great look of a 17" with a smaller price tag attached.
