i have a 94 540i and i dont see my trans fluid thing to check my oil level, it doesnt say in the manuel either? any help on locating it? thanks

By design, they didn't want the car owner to check the trans fluid level, because if over or under-filling. Therefore for most, a BMW mechanic or a transmission shop is the place to go.

There are threads covering how to do it yourself, search transmission+fluid+level and you'll get the info.

I believe you have to put it in the air and remove an allen plug in the side of the tranny on that model.
