Hi fellow M-people.

At the moment my M5 is being turned into a car built for Open Road Racing and Texas Mile type events and I would like to optimize the aero for speeds (well) over 200 mph. Basicly meaning that I want to clean up the lines and not necessarily add an extreme amount of downforce but reduce aero lift.

I have noticed that a few people here have a nice looking front splitter that looks like it bolts on the stock car. Have also seen a picture of a black AC Schnitzer car with a very cool looking front piece and rear wing. Is there a company that sell parts like this for the E34?

All input is appreciated! Need to have the outside of the car match the perfomance within. Main showpiece of the car will be the heart having a GT4788 pump to aid in the breathing... ;)

Something like this perhaps?

You don't need much. The E34 is very stable at high speeds. Too much aero and you'll have too much drag. Most aero is intended to give you down force between 70 and 130mph. I took mine off for any high speed run over 150.
The ACS stuff you asked about is NLA - no longer available. Your best bet is to stick with the Mtech stuff, or get something similar custom made.

Where do I find a front piece like that?

The spoiler is zender. Another no longer available part, unless you order it from Australia. The splitter, is 1/4" plexiglass. Its quite easy to make yourself. Create a pattern with cardboard, transfer that to the plexi, cut, and then mount. Now to make sure it didn't rip off at high speeds, its not mounted to the bottom of the spoiler, but I made aluminum brackets that support the splitter from the front bumper and the radiator support. Total cost was $60. Sure you can make it out of carbon fiber, but you'll get a lot more nervous when you hit something with it. Plexi's cheap to replace and weighs about the same.

The lowering really pulls out length in the front end. It does a lot for the car. Redfive you have a nice collection of pics I must say.
