This is my first BMW so I'm not sure how easy it is. I assume just pull. Airbag inside would be ok? Rutzx012 12-06-2007, 09:18 PM Its a torque screw that is behind the SRS tab. Just unscrew it and lift and pull at the same time ajnavo61490 12-06-2007, 10:22 PM you dont have to take it out necessarily.. just get some diluted APC or some Meg's Spot Out and use a small amount and agitate with a clean terry cloth towel... if its in a tight spot try a q-tip hope this helps libravcs 12-07-2007, 07:36 PM I just bought a 2006 325xi. The A pillar on the driver side inside has some dirt on it. I was wondering what to use to get this out. thank you! It's fabric, not magic. :-)A small bucket with 1/2 warm water and 1/2 woolite should be fine. Scrub with a clean cloth, then use another cloth dipped in clear water (but fully wrung out) to wipe dry. Let dry fully, then vaccuum and thats that. PuckMan 12-07-2007, 08:56 PM First thing to do - vacuum it! You might be surprised how much of it is surface held dirt that vacuums off easily. Then you'll know what you're left with. I like Woolite and water mixes after that and dry completely. bimmerfiver 12-07-2007, 11:56 PM I'm trying to de-code the OP's need. It sounds like you meant to say, "On one of the fabric pillars of my interior, there is a stain of some sort, can you suggest how I get rid of this stain?" Please let me know if I'm warm here. If this is your situation, I have found the best cleaner for all types of stains is 'Scotchguard OXY Carpet and Upholstery Spot Cleaner Plus Stain Protector'. A lot of words in this product indeed, but it's available online or at Pepboys. I do not spray the stain(s) on pillars or the headliner directly (I do spray carpeting though). I prefer to spray a microfiber towel until it's very damp, then I blot the stain, turning the rag over, until the stain is almost gone, then I will wipe north/south/east/west/circles until it's totally gone. Be gentle. This product rocks: http://www.shoplet.com/office/db/MMM1022.html# http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3M/en_US/Scotchgard/Home/Applications/Automotive/Do-It-Yourself/Spot_Cleaner/ synergy3 12-09-2007, 02:45 PM A secret to removing fabric stains is the use a shop vac. Use whatever fabric or rug cleaner you prefer but suck the dirt and cleaner out. It really works much better than blotting or air drying. |
