View Full Version : WTB: e30 in Midwest
tsweers89 12-05-2007, 07:21 PM What the title says. I am in the market for a e30. I have always loved the styling of the e30 so i figured i'd finally get one. This will be my first e30. Looking for something that is reliable and doesnt have many problems, no rust preferable. Was looking at one but didn't get the cash in time. Anyone have one or now of one let me know. Preferable looking for a 325 of some sort but let me know what you got. The worst i can say is no.
Thanks
tsweers89 12-07-2007, 05:50 PM ayone got anything
gearheadE30 12-07-2007, 06:05 PM lol, I think that everyone is looking for an e30 in the midwest. I'm looking for one right now for a friend, so if anyone has a 325ix with a stick or a '90 or'91 325i or is with an airbag, let me know ;)
BrokenBimmer533 12-07-2007, 06:23 PM yep its slim pickin finding one in the midwest. when a decent one pops up its gone within a few days. So just keep lookin around ebay, forsale forums, autotrader, craigslist, cars.com. I have been searching since august for one. Good luck tho they are definitely out there you just gotta be patient and search for them.
gearheadE30 12-07-2007, 06:59 PM lol yeah it took me about 2 years to find mine. Dunno how long it'll take for my friend.
MIKe30 12-08-2007, 06:26 AM your search will take less time the more you are willing to travel. just food for thought :stickoutt

tsweers89 12-10-2007, 12:58 PM damn. I was hoping i wouldnt have to go that far for one since i like to see what im buying before i get it and dont feel like flying out and looking at it before hand and then having to deal with getting an inpection and such

tsweers89 12-18-2007, 03:14 PM Just need it to be a 5-speed. Preferable two door but show me what you got
outlawz7469 12-18-2007, 03:19 PM Did you get my PM?
TrackAddict 12-18-2007, 03:27 PM Traveling a 1000 miles or so is worth it if you can get a rust-free car. I live in SoCal and have a rust-free E30 (sorry, not for sale). A similar car in my native New England would have rust issues. Food for thought, traveling to get a rust-free car is cheaper than rust repair.
webersk8 12-18-2007, 04:02 PM Yeah man im in the same boat you are. ive been lookin for about 3 months now for either an E30 or an E34 with a manual. i should have never sold mine. although right now its getting an s50 put into it. i might have to buy it back from him. lol Some lady came into my work with a rust free perfect condition 318is with 92k on it. but she wouldnt even consider 4,000 for it.
Trevracer9 12-18-2007, 04:53 PM I've got an 84 318i that just rolled over 90,000 miles. It is a 5 speed, Hennarot Red and is in great shape. No rust at all- the top is slightly faded. The paint is in awesome shape for 23 years old. I'm not sure if you would be interested in a 318, but I get anywhere from 30-34 MPG on the highway and have driven it every day since last September (15k miles of the 90 have been in the last year.) I don't know how much you are looking to spend- just thought I'd throw it out there!
tsweers89 12-19-2007, 06:06 PM Its really hard to find a good one in the MIdwest. There are a few around me but one is a ix and the other ia auto. I guess i might have to consider looking out of the midwest. The onbly thing i hate is either getting it inspected and such and having to fly out there to look at it and finding out its not what you want to you wasted your time and money. Also shipping is another issue of mine
Trevracer9 12-19-2007, 10:57 PM Not interested in mine, I guess? It's had everything done to it- but nevertheless, good luck.
