Hey Fellas,

I've decided I MAY need an exhaust on my car...

It's a turbo, and I want it to be free flowing, and 2.5" - I was going to just do a glass pack like JRCook, but that seems like it'd be mighty loud. (Josh, is it really as loud as it sounds in your video's?) Anybody have any suggestions as to what sounds good?

the turbo is half a muffler by itself. just put on a glass pack, mid sized, trunk end, not mid mounted, so it doesnt burn out real fast. Also, for optimal flow, have it installed backwards...

cheers,
Stefan

Mine isn't too loud for me at all. At full boost when the waste gate opens it screams pretty good, but just putting around I love the sound. If you watch my "lousy donut" video you can hear it at idle and low speeds.

Also, the mounting backwards tip is for louvered core glass packs which don't flow as well as perforated core glass packs. The louvers hang inside and obstruct flow slightly. You install it one way (backwards) and the exhaust flows over them, install the other way and they "catch" more exhaust for better sound control.

Get a dynomax thrush glass pack, they're perforated core (just have holes drilled in the core) and cheap.
