SensiBMW 12-04-2007, 08:01 PM Cloth seats?
surfnskate 12-04-2007, 08:15 PM wow, never seen cloth seats in an E36 before... weird
oliverr871 12-04-2007, 08:35 PM they have cloth seats in europe...didn't think it would be available here though
david55838 12-04-2007, 10:10 PM Yup, cloth seats. Driver's is a little worn, but nothing bad. Manual seat adjusters too.

bet that car is light and realiable as all hell, I like vanos, but that seems to be the only motor thing that goes out before 200k. I live in whitewater wi, i might debate this as a perfect auto-x builder
but you have to take me out in the 951
david55838 12-05-2007, 10:41 AM Funny you should mention auto-x for this car. A friend was going to start that process on this car, especially since I checked, and there are no sub-frame issues with it (a good sign). Obviously, she decided to go in another direction with auto-x, so this car is available.
I'll give you a ride in the 951 AND the 996 if you want - you just have to wait a few months...:(
milf069 12-05-2007, 11:20 AM im feeling a car cruise with all of us in wis as soon as the snow thaws??
david55838 12-05-2007, 02:30 PM For sure. In about 4 months... :rolleyes
milf069 12-05-2007, 03:34 PM i can wait, dont really have a choice i think it would be fun to get a bunch of us together
downeaster1 12-05-2007, 04:52 PM Bump for an extremely well built model year. They last forever...(see sig for current mileage).
Thought I would give all you 92ers something to look forward to, and to give the potential buyers something that they are missing out on :buttrock
cledbetter 12-05-2007, 07:12 PM I am looking for an Autox car too. Does it have the sun/moon roof or any other heavy options? Does vanos make the 93 models that much faster?
Thanks,
Christopher
david55838 12-06-2007, 09:51 AM Thanks for the bump. It does have the sunroof, but no power seats. It's bone stock and probably weighs as much as any E36 4 door. I believe the pre-Vanos cars also had 189 bhp. Others more knowledgable, feel free to chime in... :D
david55838 12-08-2007, 10:30 AM Bumpo - OBO!
the vanos was a great advancement, it gives you a good kick of tq, but the non-vanos are known for being made with pretty hot cams, and the vanos unit is really the only thing that normally goes out in the e36s
still interested in car, but I really have to wait till spring I think, just can't do it right now because lack of place to put a car until I move after my lease is up. but we for sure have to meet some day, I love the 951s, not to say the 996 isn't even cooler, but the 951 is sort of something I have wanted to get for a while.
granted the girlfriend does need a car, maybe I can get her to buy it, then I will just start installing mods without telling her......

LOL! Good one. BTW, there's no rust on the car... With this weather, it may end up sitting until Spring anyway. You can check out the E36, and I'll be happy to show you the 951 as well. Its usually at the Badger Bimmer and Milwaukee PCA DE events as well...
Looking for a daily driver, does this car have any needs right now? What tires did you put on it? Where are you at on the price? Thanks, Mike
david55838 12-09-2007, 09:29 AM PM'd you.
96 328ic 12-09-2007, 10:22 PM Very interested if you still have it in the spring or trade plus cash for a modified wrangler:)
CVGTURBO86 12-10-2007, 04:00 AM Fair price, good luck with the sale.
PS. you might want to fix your sig before it gets disabled.

There. Is that better? :D
Seriously, thanks for the kind words. With this weather, the car probably won't sell too quickly. For any of you that are interested, the car will NOT be driven at all this winter. It's in storage, but accessible if someone really wants to see it.

I can send a deposit if you are willing to store the car until spring for me:) just kidding, but not really

I really wouldn't want you to put a deposit on a car you haven't seen or driven. I guess I would make it refundable if you didn't like the car when you finally saw it. If it doesn't sell real soon, we'll talk.
zemus 12-10-2007, 06:25 PM I may be insterested, im in MN. Im waiting on a few around here ill keep you posted.

96 328ic 12-25-2007, 09:31 PM I have the money, just nowhere to put the car until I sell my wrangler:(
Skinfaxi 12-30-2007, 01:00 AM I'm also interested. My current e36 is covered in rust, and I'm going to trade up in the spring. If it's still around in a few months, I will be very interested.
david55838 12-31-2007, 12:56 PM Sold! Thanks for the interest!
downeaster1 12-31-2007, 11:40 PM Did somebody on the forums buy it?

Lots of interest from the forum, but ultimately it was Craigslist to the rescue.
