I've been kicking the tires on a new 2007 Alpina to replace my 2003 745i at my local stealership that they are trying get rid of. They are offering it at a pretty good discount. I want to hold off till the new body styles comes out late next year but this is almost too good a deal to pass up. Anyone have much experience with this version of the 750?

Local dealer had 2 of them, one slightly used. Both went in the 110-120 range IIRC. No personal experience, but that motor is a beast with that supercharger. I like the way it looks too, and I'm not a big fan of the e6X. I don't think you'll be disappointed in it. I'd take the current Alpina over the next gen. regular 7 series.

Our dealership had one for a bit. I got to drive it once and it was freakin sweet! The new Alpina is so much better than the current 750s. I never found the new 750s to be very sporty or thrilling to drive but the alpina really is amazing. It has so much power for a large car, just what i love! It makes the car feel sporty again. I dont come close to having the money for the alpina but if i did i would buy one without hesitation, besides they look badass. I cast my vote for yes

It's great that you can get one at a discount... all I've heard is that they were being sold way over MSRP due to demand. The next-gen 7 probably won't be a gigantic leap forward anyway; it's not worth the wait when you can have an ALPINA now!

Last month's issue of "Roundel" has a the B7 on the cover. Great articles on the Alpina factory, a drive around "the Ring" and a U.S. drive. Its an impressive beast 500hp and 506 fpt ... I say get it!!! Then take a nice roadtrip and come give me a ride:thanks:

Or you could just wait until Vortech makes a supercharger (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=882910)for your car which should be soon. It will beat M5/6s hopefully which is hillarious.
