I have a 1981 320I that I’m going swap an m42 engine into and was looking for any helpful resources on the topic being that I’m not have much luck...there was a website that no longer exists called Nic's 81 320i (bimmerboys.com/silverstreak) where this swap was done that originally sparked my interest in the project awhile back and now that ready to take on the project its not around...just wondering if anyone has information regarding the topic..

Dude, you can't be him!!! You're name is Neek, not Nic. ;)

BTW, if I had to do it all over again (or cared to do it all over again to this car), I would do a M42 swap and turbo THAT motor. My daily driver is an e30 318iS with the M42 under the hood. It is nice and 'peppy', has a decent amount of power in stock form for a 2600 lbs car. For a 2200 lbs car (or less) with a turbo strapped to the side, this motor/chassis combo would rock.
