My father and I are looking to do a wide body and or flare on the 02, i've looked the the Alpina kit from Ireland Engineering and it looks like a great kit, but i haven't seen it on a 02 yet. I've searched and so far nothing.

The kit comes with the rear quarter panels, front fenders, and the front spoiler for it, i think for like 700 dollars.

Now my car is not going to be a exact restoration car, we would like to have fun with it (more me) possibly tracking and auto-x. I think the Alpina kit is classy and well, a lowered 2002 with some deep dish classic BBS rims could look real nice. Thats the plans so far. We want to have it painted by spring. :D

search it on the FAQ. It will come up. Pig cheeked 2002's are great, if they are done correctly

I found a couple results on Google Images. Ray Korman has a picture of exactly what you're talking about - lowered, deep dish BBS', etc. I can't post URL's, but it's kormanfastbmw.com/2002styl.htm

We have a '72 in need of a resto - I always wanted to get the Schnitzer kit...

Well this is not a 2002 but it is an original Alpina.
Hope it helps.
In case you need more pics of this beast do not hesitate to ask.

I've never been a big fan of the Alpina or Schntizer flares ... If I was going to go wide it would be a choice of the factory turbo look for the Group2 flares ...

It's been several years, but I recall when I went to check on getting a set of Schnitzers, whoever was offering them had just sold their last kit.

I like the Group 2 a lot - almost like a 3.0 CSL ;-)
