What's the gas mileage like on those? I'm debating on whether or not to dump my Subaru (2.5L, AWD, 23MPG) for either an AWD E30, E30 318, or maybe a E36 318ti.

There are two around where I work.

In Edwardsburg, MI there is a really clean, rust free E30 318i automatic. I passed because its only a 318 and its an auto. Damn good shape, though.

In Elkhart, IN there is a really rusted out E30 for $1500, I never stopped to look 'cause I was never interested. I could, though. I could go take pictures of them both if you want.

That might be too far for you, but hey you never know.

i went and looked at the one in the link back in the summer. They wanted 5500 for it back then and it was a huge pile of crap. It has front end damage and the paint is all messed up. I stopped looking for clean E30's in the midwest and started looking out on the west coast. From what i saw they are cheaper and cleaner out there. good luck anything worth looking at will be way over priced here in the midwest.

i dont know about cheaper. It seem everything is more expensive on the coast then by me. Better condition most def

You are 7½ months too late for our E30. We owned a red '89 325i two-door hardtop (5-speed) for 9½ years. We took excellent care of this Bimmer. Sold it for three grand in May. You can find good E30s in the Midwest - you just have to look long and hard to get a nice one. If you would like pictures of this Bimmer just email me.

yo tim gotcha one out here by me 89 325is red $3100 i could probably get them to go lower let me know if your intrested cant post the url so but you can look it up by going to autotrader.com then just fill out the info for the car, make:bmw model: (i put any) then price etc. you know how it works my zip code is 44236 and i asked for results within 50 miles

my girlfriend saw what looked like a nice e30 parked by her at U.Akron she wrote down the number and we went and looked at this evening body was nice but it was an electrical nightmare keeping my eyes open though assuming you dont mind coming back to ohio to get one

Found one out here 86 325e $900 looks pretty solid its on the akron/canton craigslist along with some other cheap nice e30s but theyre all autos this one though is 5-speed

I got run off the road by a truck this morning. The back of the trailer hit my a-pillar and blew out 3 windows, and sent me 180 degrees into the ditch. I was fine, no bumps or anything, but the car did not fair so well. I'm hoping the insurance company gets a move on and lets me know what's going on with it. Lucky for me the guy driving the truck stopped, or I would have been SOL as far as insurance.
