ok, I have updated my headlightsages ago with Xenons / AE with Hella's.
Low Beam Failure comes up ... have put up with it for a while but now I want it gone. Before I give some cash to Bav Auto for thise Hella Resister packs - is there a way the dealer can recode my LCM to adjust for xenons/??
It has to be simple wouldnt it?
Will this work , anyone?

so if you did not have xenon's before the LCM gives an error?

No - before xenons were installed the LCM / check control didnt give the low beam error.
I have seen on Ebay you can buy new LCM's with xenon - whicis cheaper than resistors.
But can I code my current LCM to make the module accept the xenons?

There are instructions for bypassing it in the forums you may be able to find with searching. Essentially, you look in a Bentley manual, find the wire into the LCM and the wire out -- usually the same color but with different colored stripes, cut them, and then connect them so as to bypass the LCM One wire in and one out for each light, so 4 cuts and 2 reconnections. I have done this on my 99 M3 and the LBF warning no longer appears.

Using an Autologic coding the LCM for a Xenon conversion is rather easy. I'm sure a GT-1 could be used as well.

Could it be a matter of adding resistance, using resistors if recoding was not an option?
